Hi all,
I had a letter from HMRC arrive on my door yesterday that seemed odd for a couple of reasons,
1) It was addressed to me in my maiden name (got married in Nov 2012)
2) It was asking me to check my tax credits - I don't claim anything
3) I think (I have to check) that the reference code for my employer is from my old job that I left over 2 years ago.
I've been paying the correct tax in my current job and haven't had anything like this delivered before now.
I plan to contact them to clear up what's been sent but I do so with trepidation that they may tell me I owe them money and I wondered if anyone had heard of something similar happening to them?
