Hello,
I have been registered as self employed between 1 December 2014 and today 16 January 2015. Today I send a form to HMRC telling them I ceased being self employed.
I have not made any money nor have I spend anything on my business, so I have never started trading. For this reason I ticked the box have never been self employed on the form, instead of the box that says stopped being self employed.
Do I have to send a self assessment tax return for the financial year anyway? And how should I fill it out, just nil on everything? I have not had a job for the rest of the tax year either so I'm worried that might look really strange.. I'm trying to get a job now to have at least some taxable income.
If anyone could help me answer these questions I'd be very grateful
